WCEMS Honors Banquet award recipients

Wayne County Emergency Medical Service was formed in December 2003 under emergency order of the Wayne County Fiscal Court.

 

The service started out with only two ambulances from a previous 1997 Empowerment Zone grant, since then the service has expanded its fleet to eight ambulances, two off-road vehicles, and one mass-causality unit.

Services

 

  • Emergency 911 Ambulance

  • ​Advanced Life Support (ALS)

  • Patient transfers to acute care facilities

  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

  • Interfacility transports

  • Dialysis, chemotherapy and other pre-scheduled treatments that require medical supervision during transport
